JA-SO is proud to presents “Japanese Conversation Lesson for Beginners” for people who are eager to learn Japanese! Lessons are for an hour and we will cover basic Japanese conversation.

Instructor : Kara Baylog
Kara Baylog has been a student of Japanese herself for over 15 years, including a year and a half living in Japan and several return visits. She’s worked in education for nearly half of that time, teaching a variety of topics, from foreign language to forestry. She bring a unique understanding of pedagogy and and interactive teaching style to the study of Japanese.
Assistant : Chikako Smith
Born in Japan and has been living in Ashland since 2007. She has been supporting Tohoku area of Japan since the Earthquake/Tsunami destroyed most of part of Iwate where she is from. She is one of the original board members of JA-SO and this is her 6th year of being the secretary.
